Day 31 - Romans 5:1-3 Because Christ has made Peace, I stand in Grace

Romans 5:1-2 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: (2) By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
In Romans 5:1-5, Paul expounds on the believer's standing in the grace of God and the position of absolute assurance concerning the hope of glory. This passage highlights our position in the faith as Christ has granted us access to the grace of God and established our position as recipients of His divine favor. As believers, we are no longer at odds with God but have been reconciled to Him through the sacrificial work of Christ on the cross. This reconciliation brings us peace and assurance as we acknowledge the truth that our standing with God is secure because of a peace Christ made on our behalf and according to the will of God.
Our standing in the grace of God is not dependent on our own merits or efforts, but solely on the sacrificial and atoning work of Christ. As believers, we are granted access to this grace through faith, which allows us to confidently approach God, knowing that He has reconciled us to Himself and established an unshakable foundation of peace. This peace is not contingent upon our feelings or circumstances but is anchored in the unwavering love and faithfulness of God. No matter what we may experience in life, we can trust that God's grace will never waver, and our peace with Him remains secure. By continually placing our faith in Christ and His redemptive work, we can confidently live in the assurance that we are standing in the grace of God, fully reconciled and at peace with our Creator who is now our Father.

  • "For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life" - Romans 5:10
