32

Day 32 - Rom 5:1-3 Because I have a living hope, I can taste the glory of God.
Rom 5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Rom 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
In Romans 5, the Apostle Paul highlights the profound truth that as believers, we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. This hope is not a fleeting or uncertain expectation, but rather a steadfast assurance rooted in the redemptive work of Christ. Through faith in Jesus, we have been justified and granted peace with God, which in turn allows us to confidently anticipate the day when we will fully experience His glory. As we navigate the trials and tribulations of life, this hope serves as a source of strength and encouragement, reminding us that our ultimate destiny is to be glorified with Christ and share in His eternal glory.
The writer of Hebrews further expands on this concept of hope in Hebrews 6, describing it as a "living hope" that serves as an anchor for our soul.
Verses:
- Romans 5:1-2 - "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God."
- Hebrews 6:19-20 - "Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec."
- Colossians 1:26-27 - "Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory."
- Romans 8:18 - "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us."
- 2 Corinthians 4:17 - "For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory."
- 1 Peter 1:3-5 - "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."
Prayer / Confession
Thank you, Father, that Christ in me, and He is my hope. Thank you for sharing His glory. Thank you this is a living hope and is the speaking of Christ in me. Thank you that by this hope you bring me into the sense of the presence within the veil. Thank you that this hope does not waver but grows stronger in me as you demonstrate your faithfulness to me in every season. I thank you that this hope has never left me and that I am born of this hope. My hope is nothing less than Christ being put on display in me. Lord I cannot make that happen, but I wait for the time of life, and your time and I trust that you will supply this salvation to me through your Spirit, that I could say “for me to live is Christ.”
