Day 38 - Rom 5:15-17 Because grace abounds to me, I’m being raised up to reign in life.

Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) (Rom 5:14-17)

Verses:

  • Romans 5:15 - "But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many."
  • Romans 5:17 - "For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ."
  • 2 Samuel 9:7 - "And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually."
  • Ephesians 2:6-10 - "And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."
  • Romans 8:17 - "And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together."

Prayer / Confession

Father, I thank you for your abundant grace that raises me up to reign in life. I am seated with Christ in heavenly places, empowered to reign over sin, condemnation, and death. Your grace has positioned me as a son and joint heir with Christ. I receive the gift of righteousness and declare that I am a living testimony to the transforming power of your grace. I thank you that even with my weaknesses and in the presence of my enemies, my life is in your hand. Your strength is perfected in my weakness, and I can be vulnerable and real, while you can display your glory in me. I declare that I walk in the reality of my position in Christ, and I am a vessel of honor, displaying your kindness and love, not by trying to be more loving and kind, but by appreciating your love for me in spite of what I am. Thank you for raising me up and seated at the table with the King. Thank you, Lord you came to raise me, up! (Romans 5:15-17, 8:17; Ephesians 2:6-10)
