Christ as Righteousness

Category Image

The focus of this category is teachings centered around justification. Our qualification for anything that God has to give is never a matter of personal efforts or adherence to the law. We refute the idea that individuals must strive to earn acceptance or peace with God (to be saved or after they are saved!). Additionally, we stress that justification secures more than forgiveness of sins or "going to heaven when you die." It secures our position before God as sons and heirs, accepted in the Beloved as His coheirs. We refute false teachings that encourage believers to work to "earn" what is already theirs by faith in Christ.
