According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, (Eph 1:4-5)

And hath raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. (Eph 2:6-7)

Lord, I thank you that you have chosen me in Christ before the foundation of the world. I am holy and blameless before you in love. I am grateful that I have obtained an inheritance in Christ, predestined according to the purpose of Your will, which You work for my good. I thank You for the hidden wisdom of God, which You ordained before the world unto my glory. Thank You for predestinating me unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Yourself, according to the good pleasure of Your will. I praise You for considering me as an heir together with Christ, and for preparing an inheritance for me. I thank you that your knowledge of me is not based on my past mistakes but on the ages to come and the kindnesses ready to be revealed. I can forget that which lies behind and remain in fellowship with Christ, even when I face adversity or trouble that is in my life because of my mistakes. My mistakes are now your responsibility and I just present myself to you, knowing you are working in me. I ask that You would help me to focus on the realities of Your love in Christ and for Christ, so that my knowledge of Your love may grow deeper. In Jesus' name, amen.
